Great cinema. Located right in the middle of Colchester. Does not have its own parking. But is only a 5 min walk from St Mary's Multi storey car park. Best way to but tickets is to book online and collect at automated machines. Normal box office is closed and on the day tickets can only be bought from the concession stand. So this can slow down getting your drinks and snacks. There is a Costa as part of the building which can be used as a meeting place before or after a film. Clean and tidy and pleasant staff
I can't put in 6 stars, which is a shame. New town, new cinema, first weekend my kids visited. Didn't have high hopes. Towards the end of the day, so the little one was getting fractious. We queued for Rogue One buckets and meal deals, couldn't see something the little one would drink (I swear his blood type is Semi-Skimmed) he threw a wobbly, and the lovely man behind the counter, Kyle, came to the rescue. He found some milk, helped calm my son, everyone went into the cinema relieved. It doesn't take much, but it means loads when you're a single dad with cranky, excited kids. Great cinema with lovely, helpful staff. UPDATE: Went to see Avengers: Infinity War and had a great time. Gabriel sorted out the dazzling array of snacks, and really helpful when my friend had lost his hat. Superb customer service!

A gem of a small theatre. The performance is superb too. The wall is covered with photos of past performance. Very nostalgic and intimate theatrical sentiment.
Never been here before. It is a nice little theatre. Was nice and cool when we were here.

Fantastic threatre. No bad seats. Always a great show and reasonably priced Great for the kid's shows
Saw Prince tribute ..Mark Anthony and it was brilliant. Great performance and a very enjoyable evening. Bit rsque and a few of the audience offended but if you know Prince you should of expected it...wouldn't be tribute to him if a clean show!! 😁

Pretty hard to find the once largest theatre in England. This landmark deserves better.
Excellent relic of an ancient Roman theatre but trouble is you can only see it through a window unless you make a special arrangement with the council to be let inside.
